This indicates that Surabaya still has a moderate risk of contracting COVID-19. Recording the latest data from Infocovid19.jatimprov.go.id, Surabaya received an additional 50 cases. (Source: surabaya.tribunnews.com - January 5, 2021) One of the reason that make the number of COVID-19 cases in Surabaya rise a lot is the ignorance of health protocol by Surabaya’s residents after undergoing year-end holiday activities.
PT. Sari Mas Permai and Mamaco seek concern of this number increasing, especially in Warugunung area, where the company is established, there are also many new cases that require special attention.
Therefore, to prevent and cope with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, two companies will doing disinfectant spray activities in Warugung Area, and giving away masks and hand sanitizers at Masjid Jami Baitussalam, before Friday praying.
The activity began with a disinfectant spray in RT 01 RW 01 Warugunung Area. This disinfectant spray activity targeting the residential neighborhoods of RT 01 residents, and was carried out at the yard of each resident. The spraying was carried out by the company itself with support from local village officials.
Meanwhile, for masks and hand sanitizers, the company planned to distribute around 100 packets. Disinfectant Spray activities like this have also been held before. Sari Mas Permai, although not carried out simultaneously in all residensial area, the company is committed to made this activity a routine activity as an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
As for masks and hand sanitizers, it is also carried out with the same goal. "By carrying out this activity, we hope that the transmission rate of COVID-19, especially in the Warugunung area, can be reduced. Although not in large numbers, at least it can help reduce the number of new patients. " said Muhammad Mashollin.
